Velocity Support Services

As an NDIS provider with a focus on Mental Health, the goal for Velocity Support Services is ‘Achieving Great Lives Together’ and with a team comprising of Mental Health Nurses, Social Workers, General Nurses and culturally diverse support workers they offer a depth of service and insight that goes to the heart of the issues their clients are experiencing and address these with care, compassion and great skill.

Based in the Ipswich region of Queensland, servicing Brisbane, Logan, & Gold Coast areas, Velocity Support Services offer assistance to people with psychosocial disabilities due to a mental illness or physical disabilities.

Their approach is based on respect and open and honest communication with each client ensuring that they identify and capitalise on individual strengths and the belief that this makes a difference in people's lives.

They believe in a true partnership approach whereby staff and clients learn about each other and grow that knowledge together and where fun is very much part of the equation of ultimate health and well-being outcomes. 

Velocity Support Services does not shy away from the complexity within the system and supports some of its clients to transition from inpatient units and forensic facilities back into the community aiming to improve independence and providing medication management and monitoring.

They are a people focused service offering Supported Independent Living, In Home Supports, Positive Behaviour Support, Community Nursing Care amongst its offerings.

Velocity Support Services also provide Short Term Accommodation for up to 14 days at a time which enhances a client's independence and life skills, helps them develop new relationships and on occasion is  a stepping stone to supporting them to move out of home on a more permanent basis.

This change to a client’s normal daily routine can provide insights, skill development and the opportunity to try new things that may open doors and help establish goals for the future.
