Jack’s Butterflies

Jack’s Butterflies charity began in 2017 and their mission is clear - foster an inclusive community allowing children with rare diseases and their families to have enriched, fully supported lives. 

Started by Rachel Gates after her son was diagnosed with Ohtahara Syndrome, Rachel has made it her life’s mission to improve the lives of children and their families who have been diagnosed with debilitating disease.

In their 5 short years, Jacks Butterflies has been endorsed by the ATO and is registered with the ACNC.

Jack’s Butterflies offer a range of services and assistance that goes beyond assisting and supporting children with rare disease and the challenges they and their families face. 

Jack’s Butterflies also equip them with the support to extend their lives beyond the isolation and confines of hospitals, social services, and their own homes.

The goal of Jack’s Butterflies is to lay down a solid foundation for a vast and comprehensive network of support services. These services provided by Jack’s Butterflies are geared toward improving the quality of lives of participants and their surrounding relationships.

Through government support, community education, and provision of support services, Jack’s Butterflies aims to empower every person impacted by rare disease - so they can celebrate every precious moment.

They also offer NDIS related services.
