Located opposite Kings Park in Nedlands, Western Australia, Indigo’s experienced health professionals help people choose and access equipment, technology and services for their independence and wellbeing.
The company’s services support people with disability, seniors, carers, health professionals and educators.
Indigo’s vision is to have a community where everyone is able to make genuine and informed decisions on how to live independently.
Its purpose is to provide affordable, individualised and nationally competitive allied health, assistive technology and home modification solutions to enable and enhance independent living in the community.
Indigo was originally founded in 1977, as the Independent Living Centre WA by Freda Jacob.
Originally established as a not-for-profit information and advisory service for assistive equipment and technology, the organisation has evolved and expanded over time, becoming more customer centric in its service delivery and operation.
In January 2020 Independent Living Centre WA became Indigo.
At this time, Indigo also sponsored a new organisation called Independent Living Assessment.
The purpose of this organisation is to enhance health and wellbeing by connecting the community with trusted knowledge and expertise.
It is Indigo’s aim that under this revised business structure, that they honour the founder Freda Jacob’s tenacity, dedication and commitment to improving people’s wellbeing and independence.
You can find out more about Independent Living Assessment here.
We are honoured to have Indigo as a sponsor and can’t wait to catch up with them at the Perth Disability Connection Expo 2022, Presented by St Judes, at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on May 20 and 21.
