Brain Care strives to offer the best-practice neuromodulation and brain training methods available.
The team can achieve this by using internationally-acclaimed protocols.
As a principle, the team at Brain Care only uses scientifically validated assessments and interventions.
In order to determine the best intervention protocol, the team takes each client through several steps and procedures.
Brain Care actively involves all individuals involved in the support network and development of the individual from partners, carers, schools, to GPs, families, and any other relevant person or group.
This is a crucial part of the organisation’s therapeutic experience and ensures that the individual is given the opportunity to flourish in all areas while being supported by all in their network.
The Brain Care team regularly has others complete detailed progress reports to ensure that the participant is making progress towards their therapeutic goals.
Brain Care has had great success in the following areas:
The organisation offers several assessments to clients as well as therapies.
A computerised assessment of your brain’s cognitive functioning. The cognitive functions assessed include an individual’s sensory-motor, memory, attention, language and planning capacities. Through a touch-screen computer, the IntegNeuro program is able to pick up on subtle cognitive problems and/or differences.
WEB QUESTIONNAIRE SOCIAL/EMOTIONAL SCREENING
A comprehensive questionnaire which is designed to help the team understand an individual’s social and emotional history, and status. Scores for empathy, intuition, depression, stress, anxiety, social relationships and emotional resilience are evaluated.
QEEG and ERPs:
QUANTITATIVE ELECTROENCEPHALOGRAM AND EVENT-RELATED POTENTIALS
This is the process of determining the Brain Function Profile (BFP). During this assessment, an individual’s brain waves are recorded and analysed. Analysis involves the recorded brainwaves being compared to an international database. This method enables the team to determine the specific region of the brain which is idling or overactive. Together with results obtained from other assessments, the team at Brain Care then tailors an intervention specifically designed for the individual.
To see how a qEEG is recorded, you can view Brain Care’s presentation here.
AUDITORY PROCESSING EVALUATION
Auditory processing provides us with the foundational skills for learning, understanding and using language, as an effective means of communicating with others. It encompasses a range of skills, which a typically developing auditory system holds. When there are deficits in the skills mentioned above, an auditory processing disorder may exist. Evaluation detects such disorders.
FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY AND NEEDS ASSESSMENT
This assessment evaluates the things that an individual does to function in their everyday life and identify where their strengths and weaknesses lie. This assessment is extremely useful when determining support needs and intervention focuses, and is particularly valued by the National Disability Insurance Agency/Scheme (NDIA/NDIS).
Brain Care also offers several standardised psychometric assessments
Therapies consist of psychology, biofeedback training, transcranial direct current stimulation, audio visual entertainment, auditory training, and Cogmed working memory training.
Psious Virtual Reality Training is also used - This platform utilises animated and live environments (Virtual reality and augmented reality environments, 360º videos, etc.) employed for the management of anxiety disorders, fears and phobias, as well as for the practice of mindfulness and relaxation techniques.

Secret Agent Society (SAS) is a small group program that is evidence-based to empower children aged between eight and 12 with identified social and emotional challenges, such as autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and anxiety disorders.
The SAS Small Group Program consists of small group child sessions (club meetings), parent group meetings, teacher information sessions and Teacher Tip Sheets, paired with real-life practice missions and a system to monitor and reward skill development at home and at school.
Combining family and facilitator resources, the content and program structure is accessed through an intuitive and engaging software package that streamlines program delivery and participation for all child and adult participants in face-to-face or telehealth sessions and between session activities.
The program teaches children how to:
The Total Brain platform is another therapy employed by Brain Care - it is a neuroscience-based mental health and brain performance solution that starts with a powerful self-monitoring and self-care app for individuals.
The Total Brain app allows individuals to self-monitor brain capacities, screen for mental health risks and improve overall mental health and brain performance with self-care exercises that are scientifically proven to improve overall brain capacity and mental health.
